Our tiny farm started as a seed planted in my heart several years ago. My husband and I were living in town as newlyweds, and I spent many hours in our tiny backyard garden.
As our family grew, so did our garden. Juicy heirloom tomatoes, fresh lettuce for salads, and beautiful bunches of flowers graced our table all summer long. We eventually outgrew our small space in town, so we made the move to a more rural area with more space to plant our family and our garden.
As we got to know our neighbors, we saw there was demand for locally grown produce and flowers. We started selling our garden excess at a tiny farmstand at the end of our road. When the opportunity to sell at our local farmer’s market arose, we found our niche growing cut flowers.
Our farm and family have continued to grow, and we currently sell specialty cut flowers at two local farmer’s markets, at our home farmstand, and to local florists and designers who value locally grown blooms.
Our farm is named after our daughter whose nickname was Charlie Bird when she was little. We greatly appreciate all of the support our community has shown us and look forward to sharing our piece of home with you.
